We are now taking orders for the 6415 Davis Sonic Anemometer. Price is $873.91 +GST ($1,005 incl. GST). Allow six weeks for delivery.
The anemometer has no moving parts - it measures wind speed and direction sonically. It comes with mounting hardware, battery, aligning tool, and 12 m cable. The unit is solar-powered with battery backup.
Use it in any Davis system where you can use a 6410 anemometer: as part of a Vantage Vue or Vantage Pro 2 weather station, on an EnviroMonitor node, or in a WeatherLink Live network on a sensor transmitter.
It is good to be back! We are taking orders and doing repairs, albeit mostly remotely, under Level 2. Davis Instruments (based in the Bay Area, California) is operating. We are thinking of all our customers at this time and hoping you are safe and well. The WeatherData team.
Davis has a new portal for software designers who are integrating data from their weatherstations into their own software. This includes an updated version of the weatherlink.com v2 API. This version fully supports WeatherLink Live and EnviroMonitor systems, including Nodes. Access it at https://weatherlink.github.io/

Once again, we will be exhibiting in the marque at the Hawkes Bay Home & Garden Show at McLean Park in sunny Napier 13-15 September. Email us by Monday 9th September for a 2 for the price of one entry voucher and come and say hello to us in person.
The new Wi-fi WeatherLinkLive module is now available in New Zealand. This unit can receive from up to 8 Davis transmitters, including Vantage Vue, Vantage Pro2, Wireless Sensor Transmitter or Soil/Leaf Transmitter. It connects via Wi-fi (or cable) to your internet router and uploads data directly to the weatherlink cloud.
On its way to New Zealand is the 6100 WeatherLink Live $500 including GST - a new module to get the data from your sensors straight to Davis' webpage, www.weatherlink.com and on to the Davis app. They should be here by the end of May, fingers crossed. We are taking orders now - give us a call. (We will be adding the Live to our webshop, in the WeatherLink section.)
As the move to WeatherLink 2.0 proceeds, there is an important update that will affect anyone using the WeatherLink 1.0 API. This may affect you if you use the current API to:
Display data on a personal or community web page.
Share data with a 3rd party service that is dependent on the API.
Yes, we will be at Fieldays® once again this year from 13-16 June. Our site is in the Pavilion at PE 14 so come and visit us to discuss your requirements, or if you are already lucky enough to be an owner of a Davis weather station drop by for some free (weather station) advice or just to talk about the weather.
