In January 2020, Davis Instruments sent emails out to registered users of their 6555 WeatherLinkIP data loggers, advising them of a critical firmware update to ensure that data was captured accurately: "Your WeatherLinkIP datalogger has a critical bug that will prevent it from keeping its time properly synched with Davis servers and cause it to stop uploading historical archive records. You may have noticed that when downloading archive records into your PC software or looking at archive records on weatherlink.com that they are not entirely up to date. This firmware patch will fix that and ensure your weather station clock stays accurate and in synch."

In the meantime, Davis Instruments have been manually sorting the issues for WeatherLink IP users from their end to ensure that even if firmware had not been updated, users' data was saved. However, this service is ending.
If you have updated the firmware, the issue should be sorted and the following does not apply to you.
If you have not updated the firmware:
From May 1st 2020, historic web, app and API data (archive records) will no longer be processed by Davis Instruments. Current data will continue to display on the web, apps and the API.
From June 1st 2020, historic (archive records) and current web, app and API data will no longer be processed. All data will become stale unless one of the three options is completed. (update firmware, upgrade to Pro or upgrade to Weatherlink Live).
